Duke Davis is a Marine veteran that was medically retired after almost 22 years of honorable service. Duke served most of his time as a Scout Sniper and Infantryman. While conducting training he suffered a heart attack that would later on cause complications causing him to have a stroke. During this time he was introduced to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, where he was afforded the opportunity to attend Bamboo Bend as a student.
Duke currently spends most of his time with his wife and best friend Kara. He spends the remainder if his time building custom fly rods, tying flies and fishing. He is also an avid fly fisherman that supports disabled active duty members and veterans. He combines his knowledge as a disabled veteran and fishing skills together allowing him to help them during their rehabilitation process. He currently works for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and is pleased to now serve as the Operations Officer for each Bamboo Bend class.
